Thinking about content for social media can feel overwhelming, as posting the same pictures of your website can often be a wrong strategy. You should think of your website as a “shop window”, while your social media should be more about what’s inside that shop. Storytelling becomes a crucial element for this kind of content, as well as content strategy.
As an example, here you can see a project I shot for Jaguar. The whole idea was to do a coast-to-coast in the center part of Italy, driving an F-Pace. Something very different than a perfectly controlled studio shooting. This was a winning idea, as it enabled me as a creator to experience the product first hand while shooting candid moments in beautiful locations. As you can see, the car is not visible in every shot, and that is because showing what you can do with a product (in this case exploring remote locations), is incredibly effective with storytelling, and it lightens the concept of being constantly fed with heavy marketing images.
